We’ve been telling you about the power of programmatic advertising and how it can transform your media purchasing in some pretty dramatic ways. As more and more clients adopt this approach, success stories begin to emerge. We thought it might help to highlight a few case studies from our clients that provide insight into how programmatic advertising works – and get you thinking about how it might help you, too!

Case file #1: Rethinking the automatic contract renewal
Our healthcare client had been locked into purchasing contracts on an annual basis with certain media partners. We ran a trial of NAS MediaPro for three months, just prior to their annual renewal of a large contract. Based on results from the campaigns, we made the decision to NOT renew that annual contract, but to still include that site as a vendor through programmatic purchasing. The client was saved from a dreaded annual commitment and the difficult process of forecasting the exact number of postings to buy. Yet, they are still able to leverage the site at competitive pricing and get great results from it on an as-needed basis.

Recruitment marketing can send chills down your spine when the unexpected hits. Problems can creep up on you and challenges often need to be solved ASAP. In honor of Halloween, we asked the NAS team to tell their scariest recruitment stories and how they fixed the frightening for our clients.

Tracy O’Neal | Account Director

Scary Situation:
My client’s career site provider contract was expiring at the end of the month. Meanwhile, the client did not have a new solution in place. They needed an interim way to handle job-seeker site traffic while they transitioned to a new career site.

Spooktacular Solution:
NAS quickly developed a landing page rolling out the client’s new employment brand, and linked job seekers to the client’s ATS. This strategy provided a seamless user experience, and allowed the client and NAS the necessary time to develop additional content for their full career site.

Several members of the NAS team attended HR Tech last week. We learned a lot, met with plenty of great people and had some fun, too (hey, it was in Vegas).

This year’s HR Tech was seven football fields in length – and that was just exhibitors! From booth to booth, everyone offered something a bit unique, however one common thread was how the industry is shifting to a candidate experience-centric model. Here are some of our highlights:

Keynote Address
The keynote address was delivered by Mike Rowe, who discussed the need for more awareness of and emphasis on trade jobs in our economy, vs. the typical focus on degreed professionals. These so-called “dirty jobs” are often unfilled because everyone is encouraged to pursue college degrees. His Foundation started the Profoundly Disconnected® campaign to offer scholarships to help fill the skills gap needed to staff these roles.

NAS Recruitment Innovation’s Jason Weinhaus and Tracy O’Neal were in Scottsdale for the annual IMAGE Conference sponsored by NAHCR, the National Association for Health Care Recruitment. Our Dynamic Duo were busy attending educational seminars, hosting a booth and learning about current challenges and accomplishments in healthcare recruitment. We asked them for a re-cap of their experience and to share their observations. Here’s what they had to say:

Overall vibe

Jason Weinhaus | Regional Vice President
The mood of the conference was very optimistic. Healthcare continues to be a challenging industry to attract talent, as there are so many passive candidates. With so many new targeted approaches, companies are continuously looking at improving their candidate experience and NAHCR was a great place for just that. Between networking, vendors, sessions, etc., there was great opportunity to learn and grow.

Tracy O’Neal | Account Director
This was my first NAHCR conference, and I can see why this event is so important to attendees. It offered the opportunity to learn from industry experts, gain an overview of solutions/services, and connect with peers, whether from facilities, media/publishers or technology partners.

At NAS, we understand that HR recruitment is always evolving and technology must continually rise to meet new challenges. That’s why we continue to make significant enhancements to our candidate attraction platform. ACTIVATE™ is a proprietary, cloud-based solution that combines intuitive job search functionality with career site content. It is designed to make your career site candidate-friendly, while offering your recruiting team significant advantages that make their jobs easier, too.

Recent upgrades to the ACTIVATE™ platform include:

Job Search

  • On a Job Details page, you can now add a “Jobs You May Like” tool at the bottom of the page to direct candidates to similar jobs (based on keyword, location and other factors related to the job candidates are currently viewing).
  • Featured Jobs can be placed at the top of a Job Results page; when candidates are performing a search and there is a featured job in the dashboard that matches their search criteria, the result will appear at the top of the list. This gives even more visibility to Featured Jobs.
  • Featured Groups allows you to post multiple single positions by group, displayed to give more jobs in a specific area more visibility. Featured Groups can also be displayed on your career site home page, as well as individual career site pages within ACTIVATE™, such as a job family page (Nursing, Corporate, etc.).
  • Posted Date feature allows candidates to search for jobs posted Today, 14 days, 30 days and Any.
